Bainbridge-Decatur YMCA Gives Kids a Homework Haven
CHARLOTTE, NC – June 25, 2013 – Waypoint, a global leader in Information Technology Managed Services and Solutions, recently worked with the Bainbridge-Decatur YMCA and its other volunteer resources to make sure that Jim Holton, the Bainbridge-Decatur YMCA’s sports director, had what he needed to complete his brainchild – a computer lab specifically designed for kids to use in doing homework. Waypoint became acquainted with the project through Holton and provided behind-the-scenes financial support to ensure that the IT needs for the lab were met.

Horizon Lines Hires Waypoint Solutions Group For Managed Messaging in U.S., Guam, Puerto Rico
CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 01, 2006 ─ Horizon Lines ─ the nation’s leading domestic ocean container shipping and logistics company, providing cargo transportation services between the continental U.S. and Alaska, Hawaii, Guam and Puerto Rico ─ has signed a three-year agreement engaging Charlotte-based Waypoint Solutions Group to provide Managed Messaging Services to Horizon’s server locations in 7 U.S. states, Guam and Puerto Rico. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Horizon Lines, LLC was recognized by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. as the 2005 recipient of the company’s annual “Carrier of the Year Award” for the Jones Act trades. Horizon Lines provides Wal-Mart ocean transportation and logistics services between the continental U.S. and Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
Under terms of the agreement, Waypoint will manage day-to-day operations of Horizon Lines’ global messaging environment and strategic computer network engineering to support it. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science cum laude with a minor in Mathematics from Florida State University.
